Support for sister manufacturing clusters
BCIC WM partners provided support for local industrial decarbonisation projects inspired by the Repowering initiative in Northern Ireland, the West of England and Bradford. These projects generated further evidence supporting the place-based approach to industrial decarbonisation pioneered in the Black Country and Teeside. In all, the UK government part-funded 13 local industrial decarbonisation planning projects in 2024-25. BCIC WM advised more than half of these.
